IMERG V07B SITE DATA IMERG which stands for Integrated Multi-satellitE Retrievals for GPM is U.S. algorithm used to provide the publicly available precipitation data from Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) satellites.[1] The data can be accessed at https://disc.gsfc.nasa.gov/datasets/GPM_3IMERGHH_07/summary?keywords=IMERG. Note: An account needs to be created to access the data. The data cannot be shared publicly. A folder with all the extracted data from the coordinates sent by a project partner for each site is present here. The files present in the folders are raw extracted data of IMERG V07B precipitation at each site. The data from GPM IMERG V07B Final is available for each site from 2014- 2024 with a temporal resolution of 30 min. The extracted grid per station has a resolution of 11x11 km or 0.1x0.1 degrees.[1][2][3] The columns present in the data include: -station_name -latitude -longitude -time -precipitation (mm/hr) -probability_liquid_prec -quality_index_prec -error Notes: Before using the data, the user shall filter according to the quality index. This can be done using the column quality_index_prec. It is recommended by the GPM team that, to use data with quality_index_prec>0.4. The rest of the values shall be replaced with NaN.[1][4] The type of precipitation can also be extracted from the data based on the values in the column probability_liquid_prec. probability_liquid_prec values <50 indicate solid precipitation while values > 50 indicate liquid precipitation.[1][4] Citations: [1] Huffman, G.
